Did you get a chance to do any walking in DC? If so how does it compare to San Fran?
The heat made it rather a personal test, which, of course, I liked.
Then there is the old brownstone victorian architecture and the greco-roman style buildings which made all the long walks the more interesting.
Similar to San Francisco in scenery. These long hikes might be difficult to maintain in, say, Florida.
